“No Barriers” (ECO)

The ‘Sin Barreras’ (No Barriers) complex is accessible and inclusive. It is designed to encourage interaction between children of different ages and abilities, not limited to motor disabilities, but also taking into account other types of impairments, so that children with disabilities, reduced mobility, deaf-mute or visual impairments can play together.

Enclosure with four openings, consisting of different elements:

– ‘Open Doors’ playhouse:

A tower with a lower playhouse with space for two wheelchairs, with a small table-counter, simulating a shop.

Another upper playhouse with seats, simulating a cabin.

Access to this platform via a ladder and perforated climbing panel.

Descent via slide.

– A gently sloping access ramp with non-slip flooring, a protective kerb and double handrails on both sides.

– A 2 m long enclosed tube passageway.

– A counter, simulating a shop.

– Two perforated panels to move the wheelchair forward.
– A balance beam.
– Three access porticos.
– Various activity panels around the course:
• Panel game: Matching pairs
• Panel game: Photos
• Panel game: Maze and gears
• Double panel: ‘Tactile exploration’ (one side with shapes and colours, one side with materials)
• Hatch Panel Game
• Double ‘Communication’ Panel (one side with Braille, one side with Sign Language)

• ‘3-in-a-row’ Panel Game
– An open spring rocker, for use while sitting or lying down.

– A two-seater spring rocker in the shape of a tractor, with easy front entry and backrest.
